Digital Marketing Veteran Brian Winum Returns to Niche Pursuits Podcast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Long Island, NY – June 24, 2026 – Brian Winum, Digital Marketing Director of MAXBURST Web Design and MAXPlaces Marketing, returned as a featured guest on the Niche Pursuits Podcast hosted by Jared Bauman to share how his approach to SEO and digital authority building has evolved in the two years since his first appearance. The wide-ranging interview covers WP Multisite subdomain networks, LLMS.txt optimization, cryptographic content timestamping, and tiered entity-based link building — strategies Winum says are working across both traditional search and AI-driven platforms.

The episode, now available to watch on the Niche Pursuits Podcast, picks up where Winum's first appearance left off. His original interview drew significant audience response for its unconventional but data-driven approach to authority stacking, catalyst content, and persona development. In the follow-up, Winum explains what has held up, what has changed, and what he has built on top of his original framework.

Among the most notable updates is Winum's adoption of WP Multisite subdomain networks as a core infrastructure strategy. Rather than building individual standalone sites, he now operates networks of 700 to 800 subdomains under a single domain, which he says Google indexes aggressively — often returning 5,000 to 7,000 indexed pages from fewer than 100 unique pieces of content. He uses this architecture for press release syndication, citation networks, and affiliate marketing hubs, with his publicly accessible network at pressclone.com serving as a live example.

Winum also details a layered approach to LLMS.txt files that goes well beyond the standard sitemap-style format others use. His implementation includes custom header content communicating brand identity, ICP, and services; a body section surfacing on-page authority; and a footer section aggregating off-page signals including backlinks, citations, and Google review sentiment. Supplemental JSON and Markdown files — covering reviews, backlink profiles, and brand snapshots — are stacked alongside the primary file and interlinked via robots.txt, XML sitemaps, and header metatag injection to ensure discovery regardless of which page an AI crawler enters on.

On the content authenticity side, Winum describes a cryptographic trust layer using DMCA timestamping, automated Internet Archive submissions, and blockchain certificates via Score Detect to establish unambiguous authorship and publication dates for every piece of content he publishes. The goal, he explains, is to make authorship claims verifiable in an environment increasingly flooded with undifferentiated AI-generated content.

The conversation also covers his shift away from surface-level top-of-funnel content toward deeper middle- and bottom-of-funnel pieces, a pivot away from display advertising revenue toward guest post sales and affiliate income, and how AI automation has replaced much of the VA infrastructure he previously relied on to manage his networks.

“Everything I laid out two years ago, I still do,” Winum said during the interview. “I've just enhanced it, paired down the volume, gone deeper on the content, and baked all of this into my tier one and tier two link building so the signals are consistent all the way through.”
